Hi Peter,

here enclosed please find the last bulletin from our Club.

Some details following:

1-  On December 5th we made the Annual Meeting in order to elect the new President for the year 2019/20, Carla (the first woman as President in our Club) and the new Board for the year 2018/19.

2-  On December 16th we had our Christmas Party (the "Prenatalizia"): we had a charity bingo in order to collect money for our service in Senegal. Our President Ugo and his wife presented to all members a wooden stick hand-made by him from different kind of trees.

3- On January 16th we had an interesting evening with Professor Jacopo Bonetto, who is a Professor of Archeology at Padua University. He showed the research made about Padua during the Roman Empire. Padua was one of the richest cities all around the Roman Empire two thousands year ago and, thanks to the virtual reality and the technology, we could visualize how Padua was in that age: all fellow members  could test the virtual reality and, believe me, we had the 3D impression to go back in the past and be there two thousand years ago!

4-  On January 31st, we made the annual dinner of baccalà (stockfish), one of our typical special food of our area. We were in a restaurant not far from Cittadella. This restaurant is specialized in this kind of food.

5- On Febraury 6th, our member Giuseppe, Doctor in neurology, proposed an interesting discussion about data mining and modern  data-classification. During that event our Club, together with other eleven Clubs of our area, produced 13.500 euros to the Institute of Molecular Medice in Padua,  in order to support  field research.

6-  According to the guide-line of the President of Rotary International and the big passion for the trees from our President Ugo, we gave the kick off  to the  project “Rotary Garden”. The project goal is about hundred new trees in the area where we live, in order to create the so-called "Rotary Garden".
